China set to 'build software economy' on Linux

Reuters reports that China is set to "build their domestic software industry around Linux" according to their vice minister of the Information Industry, Gou Zhongwen. He commented on the need for government support in developing the Linux OS on the ministries' website, according to the article.

China joins a host of nations worldwide who are announcing official programs and initiatives around the open source operating system.
