| Booting Knoppix from a USB flash drive |
Apr. 17, 2006
A short article at Howudune.com explains how to boot Knoppix Linux 4.0 on a Windows PC from a USB Flash drive. The author describes the process required to download the software, install it on the drive, and get Knoppix up and running.
According to the article, the procedure was tested on Dell Optiplex GX270 and GX280s, but should work on any Windows PC that has a BIOS that supports booting from USB drives. The Knoppix Live CD iso image is around 700MB in size, so a USB flash drive of at least that capacity is required.
