Novell launches enterprise-level support program
May 18, 2004

Novell has announced "enterprise-level" support for its line of Linux software including SuSE Linux and Ximian server and desktop products.

The company's Premium Service supports a customer's entire Linux deployment instead of being linked to specific products. Customers can add Linux services for desktops, laptops and servers under a single support contract, said Novell. Small businesses can purchase support for as little as one Suse Linux server and other Novell Linux products under a the program as well.

The Premium Service program gives Novell customers access to over 600 Linux support engineers with tiered service-level options, from basic phone support to on-site support professionals among choices. Customers can also access Novell support centers in North America, Europe, Latin America, and Asia.

Novell recently announced that its Connector for Microsoft Exchange Server will be integrated into Evolution 2.0, and made available as open source under the GNU General Public License (GPL).
