| SuSE adds WINE to support Windows apps on Linux |

Next month SuSE will offer support for Windows applications on Linux as they announced agreements to resell commercial versions of WINE from Codeweavers and Transgaming Technologies. Dubbed the "WINE Rack," the software bundle will be available for purchase with personal or professional editions of SuSE Linux version 9.0. The package includes CrossOver Office and CrossOver Plugin from Codeweavers, along with Transgaming's WineX for US $40.
Codeweavers' software provides support for Microsoft Office, Outlook, Intuit Quicken, Apple Quick Time, Adobe Photoshop 7.0, and Macromedia's Flash natively in Linux. Transgaming's WineX enables gamers to use Windows-based computer games on Linux. Populat titles supported include Counter Strike, Diablo 2, EverQuest, Warcraft III, Battlefield 1942, Starcraft, Civilization 3, and more. The 3-D arcade game MarbleBlast from Garagegames is also included on the CD.
