| Sun's custom Linux on track for Fall release |

Although Sun Microsystems discontinued the sales of Sun Linux 5.0 in April, Infoworld reports that the company will offer a customized Linux in early Fall. The software features key applications for the enterprise. According to Sun's Software Group EVP Jonathan Schwartz, the offering will be based on open-source software and includes Sun's StarOffice, Mozilla, the Gnome desktop, and Ximian's Evolution. Anticipated pricing of Mad Hatter is expected to run US $50-$100 per worker.
