| GnomeMeeting video conferencing software now available |

GnomeMeeting.org has released their first version of videoconferencing and VoIP/IP-telephony application. GnomeMeeting 1.0 enables audio and video calls to remote users with H.323-compatible hardware or software.
Features in the new release include enhancements to the interface, address book, and improved video performance. New functionality includes a call history, configuration assistant with compatibility with HIG (Gnome's Human Interface Guideline), and extended audio support. GnomeMeeting began as project at the Universit Catholique de Louvain, in Belgium. The software is freely available.
