CodeWeavers' recently announced CrossOver Office, reviewed by DesktopLinux.com last week, is the subject of two additional online reviews -- one at NewsForge and the other at LinuxPlanet.
Here are links to both . . . - MS Office runs on Linux now -- Tina Gasperson reports on the results of testing by three NewsForge staffers. Gasperson concludes "This is big stuff. Codeweavers takes me right to the best of Microsoft, and it's done quicker, smarter, and more securely than Lindows."
- CrossOver Office: The Killer App for the Linux Desktop? -- Dee-Ann LeBlanc tries out the product and concludes: "When I asked company founder and CEO Jeremy White what message he'd like to get out to Linux users, he said a few interesting things but I only have room for one quote, so I'll pick this one: 'I think that all of the people who called for the demise of the Linux desktop are about to discover how very, very wrong they were.' And you know what? I agree."
