| Mozilla.org: Celebrating the move toward the 1.0 release |
Jun. 01, 2002
From Mozilla.org, a newsgroup posting by Dawn Enrico has announced that they are in the final stretch. They even planned a party . . .
From the email: "The MOZILLA_1_0_RELEASE branch has been cut and while there is some tiny chance that we will need to take further changes, is is highly probable that this is the source we will release as Mozilla 1.0."
"Binaries created from this tag will live here . . . "
" . . . Note that these are just test builds. Mozilla 1.0 has not been released yet. If you look at the user agent or the about: page you'll see a browser that claims to be Mozilla 1.0, but don't be fooled . . . "
"The complete email can be seen here."
And the Mozilla 1.0 Party . . .
"Join us in celebrating the upcoming release of Mozilla 1.0 at a party we're throwing at 8pm Wednesday, June 12, 2002 at the DNA Lounge in San Francisco. Free source, free admission, cash bar. 21+, ID required (no matter how old you look). If you can't make it, plan a satellite party in your own area."
