Jan. 22, 2007
Final preparations are being completed for the Fifth Annual SoCal Linux Expo (SCALE 5X), to be held Feb. 9-11 at the Westin Los Angeles Airport hotel. All speaker slots are full, and all exhibitor booths have been filled, according to the event's organizers.
The seven speaker slots in the first-ever Women In Open Source conference, planned for Friday, Feb. 9, have been filled and its speaker panel is being finalized. Additionally, the lineup for the Open Source Health Care Summit -- also set for Feb. 9 -- is almost complete.
The BOF (Birds of a Feather) session slots on Saturday have been filled, but there are still slots on Sunday available. Current BOF sessions are shown here.
Groups that need a meeting or discussion room are asked to contact gareth@socallinuxexpo.com to reserve one. The deadline for BOF reservations is Feb. 2.
Attendees will be able to dispose of electronic equipment at the Expo at no charge. Further details on this service are available here.
The earlybird ticket price is $60 for full admission, with a $30 admission for students with valid ID. Earlybird prices expire Jan. 24, officials said.
You can find a list of speakers here. Go here to register online.
