Sponsorships double for Desktop Linux Summit

San Diego and Palo Alto, CA -- The Desktop Linux Summit today announced that it has doubled the number of sponsors for the highly-anticipated Desktop Linux Summit to be held in San Diego, CA on February 20 and 21, 2003. Register for the event here.

As the only event dedicated to Linux on the desktop, Desktop Linux Summit will focus on issues and technologies devoted to Linux' emergence in schools, business and the home. Educators, business owners and home users that actively use Linux will also be on hand to illustrate how they made the move to Linux and how it's saved them a tremendous amount of money.

The Desktop Linux Summit will also feature presentations by key industry analysts, top technology leaders and business leaders from the top Linux software and services providers. Discussions will highlight the emergence of Linux from its grassroots to wide scale commercial deployments.

It resolves to undertake a well-considered, open, disciplined development process, leading directly to the establishment of a recognized and widely-endorsed Linux certification body.
