With this release, Lycoris introduces "A-I-squared", which stands for Advanced Application Integration Infrastructure. This layer allows software vendors to integrate their products with Desktop/LX without having to make any changes to their existing code, according to Lycoris.
Desktop/LX 1.4 also is said to include support for more third-party software, add more applications in the Iris Software Gallery, and offer additional Lycoris-selected bundles for purchase. The software is based on the newest versions of the Linux kernel, GTK and QT, Mozilla, and the Gimp.
Desktop/LX 1.4 is priced at US $40 and is available through Lycoris resellers or the company's online store.
