Kaspersky releases Linux antivirus software
Nov. 03, 2003

IDG News Service reports that Moscow-based security software developer Kaspersky Labs has released a new version of its antivirus software for mail servers running on Linux and Unix operating systems. System administrators use the plug-in module Webmin to centrally manage systems settings.

Kaspersky's Anti-Virus for Linux/Unix Mail Servers Version 5.0 touts new features that include the ability to check all e-mail data streams centrally in real time. The company also highlights its advanced anti-virus kernel that reportedly reduces CPU requirements.

Users of Version 4.0 can download version 5.0 free of charge.
