Linux and Main reports that 'KDE 3.01 was quietly placed on the master KDE ftp site Tuesday' . . .
". . . Source code, as well as binaries for Gentoo, SuSE, Mandrake, Connectiva, and Tru64 platforms are currently available."
"KDE-3.01 is the planned bugfix release for KDE-3.0, which was made generally available earlier this year. The move from version 2.x of the Qt libraries to Qt-3.x was nontrivial, and as a result there were some rough spots in the initial release. Additionally, numerous features were added or altered in applications such as KMail, which has resulted in intense developer activity in anticipation of 3.01 . . . "
