| New version of Yoper Linux distro released |

New Zealand's Linux distro, Yoper -- "Your Own Operating System" -- has announced a public release the new OS. Yoper V2 combines raw speed with the renowned stability of Linux, and claims to be the fastest out-of-the-box Linux system.
Yoper V2 is reportedly based on Linux kernel 2.6.7, includes updating and software integration from Apt/Synaptic, uses KDE 3.2.3 advanced desktop, and is compatible with Intel and AMD x86 processors.
Standard FTP downloads of the Yoper Linux V2 ISO are expected to be available starting Friday, July 16.
