Oct. 01, 2003
Acronis, Inc. has announced that its PartitionExpert software will be bundled with Turbolinux 10 Desktop from Turbolinux Inc.
Acronis' PartitionExpert is a disk partitioning utility that offers both automated and manual modes of operation to create, resize and copy disk partitions. The automated mode uses a task-based wizard that walks average users through the process. The manual mode allows IT professionals to create multiple partitions for adding new operating systems to their disk.
"Acronis is closely monitoring and developing products for the growing Linux market," said Max Tsypliaev, president of Acronis. " . . . this version of the software has been translated and localized for this market, so it will work seamlessly for the Japanese user."
TurboLinux is widely recognized as the leading Linux operating system in the Asia Pacific region.
