| Programmers find Linux security hole |

Stephen Shankland reports that a Linux security hole was revealed by top programmer Alan Cox this week at ZDNet. The vulnerability exists in the 2.2 and 2.4 versions of the Linux kernel and could potentially allow any user to take over a machine without root access.
