Lycoris targets Tablet PCs with new OS

Lycoris has announced Desktop/LX Tablet Edition. Targeting OEMs and vertical markets, the new software is a Linux-based OS for tablet-based devices. Tablet PCs with Desktop/LX pre-installed are already in production, according to the company.

Desktop/LX Tablet Edition is available now. Pricing is US $50 and the software installs in less than 20 minutes on average PC hardware, according to Lycoris.

Lycoris-developed technology for this form factor including virtual keyboard, touch screen drivers, and USB CD-ROM installation enhancements.
