eWEEK's respected operating system reviewer, Jason Brooks, has published a close look at SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10, which he described as a "strong contender to Windows on corporate clients, with a well-thought-out desktop environment and some innovative features."
"SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop, or SLED, is the most polished Linux client operating system we've yet tested, and well-deserving of our Analyst's Choice designation," Brooks writes.
However, as you might imagine, SLED isn't without its faults.
In particular, "the one area in which SLED fails completely to eclipse its fellow desktop Linux Analyst's Choice honoree, Ubuntu Linux 6.06, is in software package availability," Brooks notes.
