Linux gaining interest from Wall Street

ComputerWorld's Todd Weiss reports from the Linux on "Wall Street Show and Conference" which demonstrated that Linux is a mainstream operating system.

Mark Snodgrass, vice president of Linux convergence strategy for Merrill Lynch, is quoted as confirming his company is testing SuSE Linux on thin clients to reduce desktop costs and increase control of the operating environment.Says Snodgrass, "We’re taking a slow and steady approach to Linux on the desktop."
