| Ximian and SuSE partner to lead Linux into enterprise |

Ximain and SuSE have partnered with an eye on pushing Linux into the enterprise. According to Ximian, the agreement will enable SuSE's corporate customers to lower the cost of Linux deployment, management and integration with software management, messaging and collaboration product. SuSE will be reselling Ximian's Red Carpet Enterprise.
Red Carpet will automatically manage and update software standards on groups of systems running SuSE Linux, SuSE Linux Enterprise Server, and SuSE Linux Office Desktop.
Said David Patrick, president and CEO of Ximian. "On both the desktop and server, Ximian has focused on the software management and interoperability challenges to enterprise Linux adoption. Our close relationship with SuSE will help to fuel the rapid pace of Linux market growth."
