| Novell expects to sell 250K Linux desktops in Argentina |

Novell said Wednesday it expects to sell 250,000 units of its new Novell Linux Desktop in the next 12 months in Argentina, the first Latin American country where the company has launched the software, Business News Americas reported.
Novell Linux Desktop includes the SuSE Linux operating system and the most recent version of OpenOffice.org, Mozilla FireFox browser, a multi-network instant messaging client for AOL, MSN, Yahoo!, and multimedia capabilities. The product is offered to Argentinians under an alliance with US chip manufacturer Intel.
Novell also is offering free Novell Linux Desktop technical support by telephone for 90 days, a user's manual in Spanish, and e-learning classes on all products installed in the PC, the company said.
