OpenSUSE 10.2 live DVD arrives |

Development manager Adrian Schroeter on Jan. 29 announced the release of a live DVD edition of openSUSE 10.2, featuring a spiffy new 2.6.20-rc4 kernel plus the latest KDE, GNOME, and Xfce desktop environments.
"The last piece of the openSUSE 10.2 distribution got released today," Schroeter said in the release announcement. "The Live DVD image has a size of 1.7 GB and can be used on every x86 compatible system with at least 512 MB of memory."
OpenSUSE 10.2 contains one of the most complete application packages in all of Linuxdom, including such favorites as:- GIMP 2.2.13 image editor
- OpenOffice.org 2.0.4 office suite
- SeaMonkey 1.0.99 web application suite
- MySQL 5.0.27 relational database
- GIMP 2.2.13 image editor
- Thunderbird 1.3.0.8 email client
- AbiWord 2.4.5 text editor
