LinuxBeginner.org contributor 'Jenny' provides an overview of four popular and well-reviewed Linux distributions -- Red Hat 7.3, Lycoris, SuSE 8.0, and Mandrake 8.2 Powerpack. A great comparison chart of features helps sort out which OS to use . . .
" . . . Lycoris has been touted as an easy desktop to install and configure. It strives to be comfortable for Windows users. It has earned raves from columnists such as Gary Krakow from MSNBC; in all reviews I found, it averages 4 ½ out of 5 stars, especially for the sake of new users . . . "
