Lycoris to offer Bitstream fonts for its customers, other Linux distros
May 26, 2004

Lycoris is now offering selected Bitstream fonts for purchase on the company's website. The Maple Valley-WA company is offering fonts from two extensive libraries available as bundled packs. The first collections are from Bitstream Typeface Library (BTL) and the Breaking the Norm (BTN) libraries.

Bitstream fonts install automatically on Lycoris' Desktop/LX, and easily on other Linux distributions like SuSE and RedHat, says the company. The collections care also available for Windows and Mac (OS 9 and X) platforms. Pricing for the bundles range from US $20 and $40.

Last year Bitstream teamed up with Gnome to make their Vera fonts available to Linux users with a copyright that allows derivative works.
