| Linux-based email platform maker announces European expansion |

Scalix Corporation has responded to the growing global demand for Linux messaging solutions by establishing a European presence. The company has announced the opening of a German office amd the immediate availability of the Scalix Email and Calendaring Platform through a network of preferred partners located throughout the region, according to the statement.
Scalix offers email and calendaring software based on Linux and an 'Open Systems Architecture.' The platform scales across organizations to accomodate enterprises with hundreds of thousands of users to offices with fewer than one hundred users, making it a viable alternative for a broad range of organizations without costly, licensing and the cendor lock-in associated eith proprietary solutions. Scalix products interoperate with existing messaging systems such as Microsoft Exchange and supports Red Hat Linux and Advanced Server.
Scalix also said they will be demonstrating its product line at CeBIT in Hannover, Germany, from March 18 through March 24 in Hall 6 A20/210.
Authorized resellers of Scalix announced in Germany include 1st B'nA - GmbH, 4 Synergy GmbH, Folz Communication & Networks GmbH, FS EDV Service & Beratung GmbH, Millenux GmbH, and Vistra Industrial Software.
A German-language web sitefor Scalix has been launched.
