Codeweavers extends Linux support to Macromedia software

Codeweavers has announced the immediate availability of a new version of CrossOver Office with support Macromedia's popular web design tools, Dreamweaver MX and Flash MX. Macromedia is recognized as an industry leader for developers building web sites, with over 3.2 million reported users of Dreamweaver. Macromedia's Flash software offers highly visual interactive content.

CrossOver Office supports Microsoft's Office and Internet Explorer, Intuit's Quicken finance software, and Adobe Systems' Photoshop on Linux systems. CrossOver Office 2.1 is now available for US $60 per user. A server edition is also available.

Further, the company stated plans to release an upgrade to their CrossOver Plugin software that that supports popular browser plug-ins such as Adobe Acrobat Reader, eFax, iPIX, QuickTime, Real Player, Shockwave Director, Windows Media Player, and Macromedia Flash shortly.
