Membership has its privileges: Red Hat PCs for $299

Seems membership has its privileges after all. Wal-Mart-owned Sam's Club is offering members a $299 Red Hat PC reports David Becker at CNet.

The systems are provided by CPUBuilders and feature AMD processors: the entry level system ships with a 1.1GHz Duron processor and a $399 version is based on AMD's 1.67GHz Athlon XP. Other configurations are expected.

Wal-Mart ships preloaded Microtel systems with LindowsOS, Lycoris, and Mandrake at their online retail site.
