| Firefox gets instant Web page viewing extension |
Aug. 05, 2005
Newcomer Browster Inc. has announced the availability of a new plug-in for Mozilla Firefox browser, Browster 1.0. Browster is touted as an instant page viewer that enables users to view snippets of Web page search results, simply by mousing over a link. Using the Next Page feature, Firefox users can use Browster to skip from result to result with no delay, the company says.
Browster pre-fetches Web pages listed in search results and includes an instant-page rendering capability, according to the company. Users can then view this page, or the entire Web site, in the Browster window. As users browse their search links, Browster's proprietary technology displays the preview window as the user rolls the mouse over a link.
The plug-in is available here via free download.
