IT pros in the Cambridge, Massachusetts area can learn top Linux administration techniques at Boston University Corporate Education Center program on May 19-20, 2004. BU is offering LinuxCertified's Linux System and Network administration bootcamp.
The hands-on program begins two weeks before classroom instruction, LinuxCertified hosts an online e-learning tutorial. Attendees are prepped for the Linux Professional Institute (LPI) Level 1 certification exam, meets the objectives of the Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) exam, and CompTIA's Linux+. Boston University's Corporate Education Center has hosted other Linux-related curriculum and programs including the Desktop Linux Consortium's first conference in November.
In addition to providing Linux training and courseware, LinuxCertified distributes Linux laptops through several North American universities. The US $1400 laptops are preloaded with Xandros, support fast ethernet, have high-resolution screens, DVD & CD-R/W, and 3-in-1 card readers along with optional 802.11b wireless networking.
