NeTraverse began shipping Win4Lin Terminal Server 2.5 yesterday. The software allows companies to host Windows desktop sessions from Linux servers.
Windows desktop sessions are remotely displayed on any browser- or X Windows-enabled machine, PC, thin client, and workstation, said NeTraverse. New features in the upgrade include enhanced network support, support for DirectX, and audio playback to Linux-based thin clients and Solaris workstations.
Win4Lin Terminal Server 2.5 is sold in seat-based licenses.
