Nov. 12, 2003

NeTraverse announced the immediate availability of Win4Lin for Fedora Linux. Win4Lin allows users to bridge from legacy Windows environments to open source Linux.

It supports Novell clients and targets Windows-based applications including Office, Internet Explorer. and third party applications like Peoplesoft, SAP and Seibel clients. Developers also can use Win4Lin to run custom Visual Basic and C++ applications without any modification to their code.

The Win4Lin Terminal Server, also available from the company, runs on a Linux server and hosts multiple Windows desktop user sessions via remote display to any browser-enabled or X windows-enabled device such as thin clients.
