Xandros Desktop OS 1.0 has been announced as the "PC World Norway Computer Product 2002 Award" winner according to this report in PCWorld Norge . . .
" . . .Xandros distribution is even user-friendlier than Red Hat Linux 8. In addition, Xandros Desktop has been designed to co-exist with Microsoft Windows, and it works efficiently in a Windows environment. Even a select number of Windows applications can run smoothly on top of the Xandros operating system, including Lotus Notes and Microsoft Office 2000. The Xandros operating system can easily be installed on a computer already running Microsoft Windows. The user has full access to all Windows partitions, including automatic access to shared catalogues, file servers and printers on the Windows network. The user interface has the look-and-feel and behavior anticipated by veteran Windows users."
