| Mandriva revamps its eTraining website |

Mandriva announced this week that it has revamped its eTraining website interface for better ease of use. In addition, the free online management modules have been improved, and there are two new free courses: one on urpmi and rpmdrake, and the other on Mandriva Flash.
These modules are both available in English and French, a Mandriva spokesperson said.
Mandriva Linux users now also have access to three new training programs, in partnership with SUPINFO, the International Institute of Information Technology, in France:- Mandriva Certification for Enlightened Beginners (MCB) -- This course is an introduction to the Mandriva distribution and to free software. It covers the different applications and features that can be found on most workstations: office suite, multimedia tools (image manipulation, CD-ROM/DVD writing, audio and video file management), and desktop environment customization.
- Mandriva Certification For Advanced Users (MCU) -- You have preference for Linux distributions and you already know relatively well how to use them? You would like to expand and deepen your knowledge? Then, find out about this training program dedicated to advanced users. This course covers the various stages of installation as well as computer configuration and restoration. You will also be offered an introduction to some fundamental concepts of how GNU/Linux work, as foundation for advanced use.
- Mandriva Certification For Networking Administrators (MCA) -- This course is for those who wish to take full advantage of Mandriva Linux in an enterprise environment. During these training sessions you can learn how to fully configure your computer and the Mandriva Linux operating environment, and how to secure and optimize a server.
