| Enterprise-level accounting software comes to Linux |
Jun. 13, 2005
Linspire Inc. and InsynQ's Appgen Business Software recently teamed up to bring a "special version" of MyBooks Professional, a "fully audited," "full-featured accounting and finance software solution" aimed at small- and medium-sized businesses, to Linspire Linux's CNR (click and run) Warehouse.
"Over the last twelve months, we noticed more and more of our clients asking for a Linux version of our accounting programs, and we felt compelled to respond," says InsynQ president and CEO, John Gorst. "MyBooks Professional for Linspire meets the demand in the market for both a low-cost Windows alternative and a Linux-based high-end accounting solution."
InsynQ touts MyBooks Professional as a "professional-grade," double-entry accounting system that claims to help small and medium-sized businesses tracking and controlling sales, purchases, bank accounts, payroll, and inventory, and more. MyBooks Pro boasts GAAP standards compliance, and the ability to both scale and be customized "to meet the needs of both service- and inventory-based businesses."
The MyBooks Professional accounting and finance software is now available to Linspire Linux users through Linspire's CNR Warehouse in one-user ($59 USD) or two-user ($99 USD) "entry-level" versions.
