| Linux servers projected to jump by 24% in Asia-Pac |

A survey of IT managers in 12 Asia-Pacific countries -- excluding Japan -- revealed that while Linux is installed on just six percent of servers today, 2003 expects to see 24% percent growth reports John Lui at TechCentral, Malaysia.
Andrew Chew, a research manager with IDC Asia/Pacific commented, "The key now lies with both supporting hardware and Linux vendors who must address adoption fears and dispel ignorance of Linux benefits. Supporting vendors know this and they have been quickening their pace."
