Sep. 10, 2004
ShaoLin Microsystems is now offering a free download of its "Fit Client" enterprise Linux desktop network computing environment, ShaoLin Aptus. The software offers a simplified deployment and management approach to running Linux, to the Hong Kong-based company.
ShaoLin Aptus is described as middleware that enables a Linux server to share its operating system and applications with multiple networked client PC's. Using the software on a Linux server, all networked PCs can be managed centrally, the company says.
The free download of ShaoLin Aptus supports up to 5 networked clients. Free product support is available through a new forum launched by the company.
