Gamers can now "Point2Play" 250 top titles in Linux
Apr. 16, 2003

TransGaming Technologies has announced the release of WineX 3.0, the Linux portability product that allows today's top PC games and applications to run on Linux, out-of-the-box.

Point2Play, a new intuitive user interface, debuts with this release to help novice users easily deal with configuration issues and experienced users gain greater system control.

WineX 3.0 fully supports vertex programming compatibility under Linux. This key technology renders sophisticated character animation and similar tasks where "matrix-multiplying" power of today's graphics cards is accessed directly by programs.

Transgaming now offers Linux gamers access to 250 of the top PC games including EverQuest -- the world's most successful Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG). Popular, recent releases available using WineX 3.0 include hits such as EA's Battlefield 1942, SimCity 4, Medal of Honor: Allied Assault and many more.
