| LindowsOS powers $800 'Spanish-Language' laptops |

Lindows.com has announced the release of a Spanish version of their Linux-based LindowsOS for low cost laptops. The software, LindowsEspanol para Laptops, is now available pre-loaded onto two models through PC Club.
The US $1000 Spartan features an Intel Celeron 2.4 GHz processor, 256 MB RAM, 30G hard drive, CDRW-DVD Combo drive, and a 15-inch display. The $800 Mythos Athena laptop wighs 5.5 pounds and runs on a a Celeron 2.0 MHz processor, with 128 MB RAM, a 20G hard drive, and a 14.1-inch display.
The company is targeting a market of 28 million Spanish speakers in the United States, says a statement. Laptops include all the features of LindowsEspanol and adds power management capabilities, WiFi compatibility, and more, says Lindows.com.
