| Xandros announces Linux desktop aimed at business, wins award |

Xandros announced a version of its Linux operating system for the corporate desktop, Xandros Business Desktop. The new release, due out next month, will offer features for the enterprise that include authentication support through Microsoft's ActiveDirectory, support for AMD's 64-bit processors, and support for Citrix-based thin clients, according to the company's announcement.
Xandros Business Desktop will be available on February 17 for US $130 per seat, with volume pricing available.
The company won "Best Front Office Solution" at LinuxWorld last week.
