IBM Japan program recycles older PCs with Linux desktop

IBM Japan announced the "PC Long-life Service", a PC recycling program which will install a complete Linux desktop on older PCs. Customers select the Linux distribution they wish to install.

The service, called 'The IBM Think Family of Offering' will begin on Dec 2. It is priced at 8,000 yen (about US $66).
