| StarOffice 6.1 beta program announced |

Sun has announced a public beta program for testing StarOffice 6.1 (Beta 1) beginning on March 3, 2003. According to Sun this release will include enhancements for "small and medium businesses, developers, personal productivity, and accessibility."
The testing program is scheduled to run through May 2, 2003. Sun is looking for three types of testers including- SME or Small to Medium enterprise testers -- five or more participants within an organization for small and medium sized businesses for feature tests
- Developers and Systems administrators -- to test our developer tools and systems administration enhancements including the StarOffice Developer Kit(SDK) and StarOffice Configuration Manager (SCM)
- General Public testers -- testers that we will be looking to for testing any and all applications within StarOffice in their existing environments
