Oct. 24, 2005
Event host Linspire Inc. is looking for speakers and panelists for its fourth annual Desktop Linux Summit, set for April 24-26, 2006 at the Manchester Grand Hyatt Hotel in San Diego, Calif.
Last year's event attracted companies such as Novell, AMD, and Real Networks, and groups such as Mozilla, and next year's event is expected to be even bigger, the company said. New products and services will be debuted at the show.
The Desktop Linux Summit is one of the less-pricey IT conferences around, at a cost of $75 for the two-day ticket, which includes admission to all exhibits and speakers, refreshments, and a T-shirt. A $20 ticket for the exhibits only on both days is also being offered. One-day tickets are not available, the company said.
Prices will go up after Jan. 31, the company said. Further information is available here.
IT professionals who wish to apply to speak at a keynote, seminar, or on a panel should go here to fill out an application.
