Windows users have been forced to deal with a neverending flood of viruses and worms, so much so that many users have come to view it as an inevitable part of computing in general. However, many 'alternate' operating systems like GNU/Linux are relatively virus-free, often largely due to their design. Why, then, is Lindows.com offering an antivirus programme for sale with their GNU/Linux distribution, LindowsOS? Is this a sincere gesture or simply deceptive marketing?
