As part of its efforts to support the growing Desktop Linux revolution, DesktopLinux.com is pleased to announce our 2002 survey results in our online Desktop Linux distribution 'quick poll'. The survey asks readers to provide information about which distribution(s) they use (or plan to use) for desktop purposes. The results, after 12 months of polling, are indicated in the following graph . . .

2002 was quite a year for Desktop Linux. Debian took top honors in our survey as it gained great visibility with commercial versions from Xandros, Lindows.com, and Lycoris reaching the market. SuSE 's just-released Linux Office Desktop is set to land in small and medium businesses shortly. Red Hat and Mandrake are readying new enhanced versions in the next few months. Meanwhile, newcomers Yoper and ArkLinux are poised to make some noise. Stay tuned to DesktopLinux.com as we keep you up to date on the latest news and views about Desktop Linux.
