| Lycoris 'Highly Commended' says UK's Personal Computing World |
Mar. 24, 2003
The May 2003 issue of Personal Computer World (PCW) reviews Desktop/LX Deluxe from Lycoris. The magazine gives the Linux OS a 'Highly Commended' designation with four out of five star overall rating.
PCW reviewer Barry Shilladay called the desktop operating system "one of the best" and points to features that make Lycoris "easy to install, accessible and well configured." In a round up of eight Linux distributions and operating systems, Lycoris Desktop/LX was as the best OS for those people "new to Linux or indeed to computers."
"The desktop is easy enough to use to make it a good replacement for anyone who doesn't necessarily want to run Linux, or even care about the operating system, but wants a stable, Internet-ready, virus-free PC," wrote Shilliday.
The May 2003 issue of PCW is available now in print.
