| KDE 3.4.1 now available |
Jun. 01, 2005
Yesterday, the KDE Project released version 3.4.1 of its highly popular K Desktop Environment for Linux. A "maintenance" release, KDE 3.4.1 offers few improvements visible to users, but implements numerous back-end fixes.
Users upgrading to KDE 3.4.1 will notice greater multilingual support -- more translations, and better use of existing translations. Behind the scenes, the KDE project has fixed dozens of reported bugs, which should translate into smoother sailing in Konsole, Konqueror, Kopete, KMail, KNode, and many more Linux applications.
KDE 3.4.1 binaries and source code are now available for download. Additionally, the commitment-phobic curious can "test drive" KDE 3.4.1 by means of the "Klax" KDE 3.4.1 LiveCD.
