| OpenOffice.org debuts new version, enhanced functionality |

OpenOffice.org has announced the immediate availability of the new version of its award-winning office suite, OpenOffice.org 1.1, for Linux and other operating systems. The suite offers word-processor, spreadsheet, presentation and various other components and provides users with a revolutionary open, future-proof XML file format.
Enhancements and new features include:- native one-click PDF (Adobe Acrobat) export
- Macromedia Flash export for presentations and drawings
- faster load-time
- enhanced MS Office file compatibility, accessibility
support
- advanced look and feel.
The suite, in the true spirit of open source, is free for all to use, improve, modify, and redistribute to anyone in unlimited quantity.
