New Opera program lets users earn cash when distributing their 'custom' browser
Jul. 30, 2002

Oslo, Norway -- (press release excerpt) -- Opera Software today released the second edition of their popular Opera Composer for Linux and at the same introduces the Sales Referral Partner Program for Linux, which lets users share in Opera's success and earn cash.

The Opera Composer lets users build their own community by inviting them to customize their own Web browser and distribute it to friends, family, customers or colleagues for free. This new Linux version increases the language customizations by adding German, Norwegian Bokmaal, New Norwegian, and Simplified Chinese. The Chinese language customization is an important addition that will help Opera to soon become a household name in Asia like it is in the rest of the world.

The Sales Referral Partner Program (SRP) for Linux lets users design the perfect browser for their organization or business in the Opera Composer. The SRP invites users to create their own Opera for Linux browser and earn commission on end-user license revenues.

The new Opera for Linux Composer lets users:
  • skin personalized images for toolbar and background
  • create their own splash/start-up screen
  • customize Hotlist bookmarks/e-mail/contacts
  • Window mode (SDI/MDI)
You can customize your Web browser on the Linux platform or in several different languages on the Windows platform at composer.opera.com

The SRP program is specially designed for ISPs, universities, organizations, Intranet administrators and businesses that would like to offer their members, customers, users and partners a fast browser with their own special integrated services.
