Lycoris gives users discount in exchange for Microsoft licenses

In an effort to encourage users to switch to Linux, Lycoris is now offering a competitive upgrade for switching to the Desktop/LX operating system. The promotion, dubbed "Moving On" allows users of Microsoft Windows 95, 98, NT, ME, 2000 and XP 50% off the retail price of Lycoris' Desktop/LX Update 3.

Users can send in their original CD or restore disk along with their Certificate of Authenticity, sticker, or original product key papers from Microsoft to be eligible for the discount through November 30th. There is no limit to the offer, businesses, schools and all end users may take advantage of it on as many computers as they wish.
