Oct. 07, 2004
Pathlink Technology has updated its SpamHippo anti-spam and anti-virus email protection system. SpamHippo captures and eliminates spam and virus in user's email using a technique Pathlink calls "spam trapping logic" (STL), as opposed to more error-prone black listing of senders and firewall rules, Pathlink says.
SpamHippo Server Software supports Linux and UNIX systems, integrating with Sendmail and Procmail installations. The SpamHippo Email Service includes all of the features of SpamHippo Software, plus assignable POP accounts and a Web Email interface option.
According to Pathlink, key features of the new release include personalized "Sender Assurance Noticing," improved recipient identification control, outside email account message processing, an enhanced administrative and account holder navigation system, improved activity reporting, and expanded statistical reporting.
An unlimited email account server license with unlimited software upgrades costs US $1,495, and includes a full year of phone and email technical support.
